Annual Black History Month Gala
The Annual Black History Month Dinner & Gala hosted by the Caribbean and African Multicultural Association of Thunder Bay (CAMAT) is the final cumulating event highlighting Black History Month celebrations through the month of February in our community. Each year there are over 300 guests that attend to recognize, celebrate and support our Black Community.
Supporters are treated to authentic African and Caribbean cuisine, cultural performances and presentations, and a silent auction. The evening concludes with a DJ and dancing.
The success of CAMAT and this event depends on our community involvement. The proceeds go directly to the CAMAT Scholarship Fund, which provides educational resources and financial support for under-privileged students (including newcomer/refugee students) at the elementary, collegiate and post-secondary levels of schooling.
